who: Manville Yellow Jackets
what: 1930 champs (of what?)
where: Evans Field (currently where Evans Drive is, near Weston school)
when: 1930

Adam Sandusky is in the middle row, 3rd from the left.

The Manville Yellow Jackets were named after the Philadelphia (Frankford) Yellow Jackets AFL team. This is because so many Manville residents came from the coal mines of PA, and were Philadelphia fans.

See the list of names of all of the players in this photo. This is from the actual 1979 Manville News "50 Years" special edition. Dad kept a copy of this newspaper and recently gave it to me.

Also, see the article written about the Yellow Jackets.
